MEET THE YOUNG WOMEN OF RISE UP HOUSE

Our partnership with the Rise Up House a community services organization focused on creating a safespace for young girls to flourish in various youth and adolescent centred services was the start of our goal to link rural cotton growers in Chipata, Eastern Province to value added markets through which the producers become an integral part of the design process. It was also our journey into empowering young women and mothers who are victims and survivors of forced and early marriage to not only hope but soar for greatness!

We have been fortunate to share in the lives of these brave and talented young girls who have shared their stories with us over the past 4 months. Our commitment to social sustainability and through upskills programs aimed at providing girls with income generating skills.

Under the leadership of Sibeso Mulonda of Sib's Creations and Saucy Mukosa founder, Mulenga Udie Soko, we were honoured to have worked with 15 girls from the Organization in the design and production of our new 'Thread and Hook' Line, a sustainable RANGe of 100% RURAL WOMEN FARMED cotton homewares for conscious, TIMELESS living.
proceeds from the successfull launch at the Zambia Arts and Design (ZADS) Show held from 3rd to 5th December, 2021 created a strong network for continued partnership for cotton sourcing and production of cotton products.
